Rock rolls to ARL triumphs in the Maritimes

The Newfoundland Rock senior men's rugby team won back-to-back Atlantic Rugby League games in the Maritimes this past weekend. On Sunday in Fredericton, Justin Myers scored three tries and Dean Blanks hit 13 of 14 conversions attempted as the Rock decimated the New Brunswick Black Spruce 96 -10. Grant Moffatt and Robert Wilson supplied two tries each with singles from Peter Densmore, Geoff Warden, Morgan Lovell, Brad Lester and Tyler Wish.

In Saturday's game against the Nova Scotia Keltics in Halifax, Zac Coughlan scored four tries as the Rock won 43-21. Adam Paul, Robert Wilson and Grant Moffatt had single tries for the Rock, who led 14 - 7 at the half.

The Rock are back on the road next weekend where they meet the Quebec Caribou and then face them again on July 1st at the Swilers Ruigby Complex.
